About the Lecturer II
Aarif has been a faculty member at the University of Guyana Berbice Campus (UGBC) since 2018. He holds a bachelor's degree in Statistics and a Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education from the University of Guyana. Aarif earned two master's degrees, in Actuarial Science and Statistics, from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Biostatistics at the University of Iowa College of Public Health. In addition to his academic endeavours, Aarif is actively working toward becoming a credentialed actuary through the Society of Actuaries (SOA). His research interests include machine learning, Bayesian analysis, stochastic processes, experimental design, and crime and transportation statistics
