About the Lecturer I

Rajkumar Sookraj is a Lecturer at the University of Guyana, Berbice Campus, within the Division of Education and Humanities. He teaches courses like Classroom Testing and Measurement, Research Methods in Education, and Global Issues in Education and Development. Additionally, he supervises undergraduate students’ research.

With over 37 years of experience in the education sector, Mr Sookraj has held numerous leadership roles, including Headmaster, Deputy Headmaster, and Master Trainer for the Education Certificate Management Course. Also, he was a Coordinator (2013-2014) at the Division of Education and Humanities at UGBC.

Mr. Sookraj holds a master’s degree in Measurement and Evaluation, a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Primary General), and a Certification in Education (Primary General) from the University of Guyana. He also earned an Education Management Certificate from NCERD, Ministry of Education, Guyana. Outside of work, Mr. Sookraj enjoys photography and exploring new places.
