About the Lecturer I
Ashmi Syonne Mangal is a dedicated educator and Lecturer in the Department of Marketing and Tourism within the School of Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation at the University of Guyana. She has been nurturing future business leaders since 2017. With a strong passion for teaching and mentorship, Ashmi specializes in marketing and management, empowering students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in dynamic, competitive environments.
Ashmi is currently pursuing a PhD in Innovation in Global Development at Arizona State University, with a research focus on Value Chain Development. Her work addresses strategies for enhancing industry competitiveness through strategic planning, diversification, and integrated growth, underlining her commitment to fostering sustainable development in public and private sectors. Her educational journey began at the prestigious New Amsterdam Multilateral Secondary School, where she developed a foundation of excellence. She holds an MBA and a Graduate Certificate in Management from the Australian Institute of Business, a Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education from the University of Guyana, a BSc in Management, and a Diploma in Marketing. Her rich academic background is complemented by professional experience in management, marketing, and customer service, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the business world
