About the Lecturer I
Camanie Devi Khedaroo is a lecturer in the Department of Language and Cultural Studies and the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Guyana Berbice Campus. She is a trained teacher of English and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master’s Degree in Literacy Studies from the University of Guyana. She also earned a Master’s Degree in Education Management from East China Normal University and is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Education at UNICAF University.
Ms. Khedaroo has almost three decades of teaching experience at both the secondary and tertiary levels. She has served as a part time lecturer at the Cyril Potter College of Education (a teachers’ training institution), delivering courses in English Proficiency and Linguistics. At the University of Guyana Berbice Campus, she delivers courses in Academic Writing and Technical Communications, equipping students with critical skills in written and oral communication. She also supervises practicum sessions with aspiring educators, observing their classroom practices and offering constructive feedback to refine their teaching skills.
Her research interests include exploring the impact of online platforms and technology-enhanced learning applications on higher education. When she is not teaching or conducting research, Ms. Khedaroo enjoys spending time with her family, reading memoirs of influential people, and immersing herself in do-it-yourself projects
