About the Lecturer II

Yunita Arjune is a full-time lecturer in the Division of Biology under the Faculty of Natural Sciences, bringing nine years of experience in teaching and research at both the secondary and tertiary levels. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in Forest Biology from the University of Guyana, providing her with a strong foundation in the biological sciences.

She has taught associate and bachelor’s degree students, specializing in courses such as Genetics and Evolution, Biology of Plants, Biology of Animals, Plant Physiology, Animal Physiology, and Plant Pathology. Beyond teaching, Yunita has actively supervised final-year thesis projects, guiding students through their research and academic development. Her research expertise spans around microorganisms, plant phytochemical properties, organic farming, and vermicomposting, contributing to advancements in sustainable agriculture and biological sciences.
